The Federated Church of Mitchell is offering Youth Services!

THE NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL YEAR STARTS SEPTEMBER 11, 2011

We will make this a special kick-off for Sunday School by:

• Having a special consecration ceremony for all the Sunday School teachers during the worship service

• Have helium-filled balloons with messages to be released by the children after Sunday School (Kelly Martin will supply the helium-filled balloons)
• They will create cards for grandparents since it will be Grandparents Day on September 11th  (Melissa Schneider will provide the materials)
  
  Children's Church will be held during regular services - children will be dismissed from church after the Pastor's Children's Message and will go upstairs for snacktime and Bible study.

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR TEACHERS AND HELPERS, CONTACT ANYONE FROM THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP IN ANY WAY!

The Christian Education Committee at the Federated Church is pleased to announce these youth programs in response to an expressed need in our community for spiritual opportunities for young families.

After much thought and considerati on, we developed a program that we believe will enhance the church experience for all members of your family within the brief timeframe of weekly church services.

As we developed this program we considered several factors:

• The strained schedules of young families that make attending church overwhelming;

• The extra time and strain of having to attend separate Sunday School and Church Services;

• The weariness of parents who need their own time in church without the distraction of children; and

• The need for traditional, Scripture-based church services that can be enjoyed by all ages.

We are thrilled that you are considering our program. We would love to eventually see you join our church membership, but you are encouraged to take your time in making such a personal decision. We appreciate your fellowship regardless of your membership status!

We encourage your whole family to see what the Federated Church has to offer. These new services are being introduced not only to help children learn the Gospel, but also to create an environment where parents and caregivers can fulfill their spiritual needs as well.
